Tootsie Rolls Midgees

The Original Tootsie Midgee Roll was introduced in 1896. Leo Hirshfield named this iconic candy after his daughter, Clara, whom he called Tootsie.

One of the oldest American confections, Tootsie Rolls, comes in various shapes and sizes. They were the first penny candy and deserve the title retro.

The round piece of chewy, chocolatey candy tastes amazingly like the first Tootsie Roll, made over 107 years ago. After all, isn’t there an old saying, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…
